Born in Surrey, Martin Nash spent much of his childhood travelling with his parents, and has lived in a range of countries such as West Africa, Ireland, Germany, Malaya and Norway. Martin has continued to travel every summer, exploring much of Southern Europe. The rich and varied experiences of his early life have influenced his development as an artist. Having studied Architecture and Foundation Arts, Martin went on to complete a degree in Printed and Woven Textiles at Manchester. Elements of these different disciplines and the interplay of flat surface and constructed form also strongly influence his work. As well as exhibiting his work in London and across the North West, Martin has produced public sculpture commissions, and his work can be found in several prestigious corporate collections.
